Delete your Donezy account

Delete from the app

1. Open Donezy and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete account and follow the steps to confirm.

Before deletion, Donezy may ask you to:

• transfer ownership of any groups you own to another member, and
• settle any unsettled balances involving your account.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app, can't sign in, or can't complete the steps above, email support@donezy.in with the subject “Donezy account deletion request”.

Please send it from the email address you use for Donezy, so we can verify that the account is yours. We will confirm by email once your account has been deleted, within 30 days of verifying the request.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in account (email address and Google sign-in link)
• Your profile — name and UPI ID
• Your friends directory and any contacts you imported
• Your device push token and notification settings
• Your block list

What is kept, and for how long

Expenses, settlements, photos and receipts in groups you shared with others are part of those members' records. To keep their balances correct, these entries are kept in anonymised form — no longer linked to you — for as long as the group exists.

We keep no other personal information after deletion, except where the law requires us to.
